In this seminar, Elvira Grassi, the SLLC Literary Translator in Residence 2023-2024, will discuss how she became a literary translator, reflecting on key aspects of her professional trajectory and on the importance of practice, discipline and creativity, with specific reference to the challenges of translating the language of Michelle Gallen’s Big Girl, Small Town into Italian.
