The Centre for Dante Studies in Ireland is pleased to announce the annual series of five public lectures on Dante.

Monday January 22 – Professor Franziska Meier (University of Göttingen) – Who is responsible for Justice? The Lawyers or the Poets?

Monday January 29 – Professor Anna Pegoretti (Università Roma Tre) – On the Border. The Dante Monument in Trento (1890 – 1921)

One week break due to Bank Holiday in Ireland

Monday February 12 – Professor Matthew Treherne (University of Leeds) – Dante and the Future of Finance

Monday February 19 – Dr Serena Vandi (University of Manchester) – Cosmic Dante. Beginnings and Endings in the Commedia

Monday February 26 – Professor Nick Havely (University of York) – Dante’s Mountain and Nineteenth-Century Travellers
