2019, DATE TBD. Workshop: Dispossession

Casilac Administrator January 15, 2019 EVENTS, MEMORY

Dispossession.

Date TBD, 2019, ORB G.27

An interdisciplinary workshop organised by Dr James Kapaló in collaboration with the Memory, Commemoration and Uses of the Past CASiLaC research cluster.

This workshop will bring Irish researchers together with members of the Hidden Galleries ERC-funded project (http://hiddengalleries.eu) based in Hungary, Romania and Moldova to discuss the theme of dispossession and archives, past and present. This workshop is intended to prompt reflection in a broader historical and interdisciplinary light about policing objects, the individual and the institution, and the relationship between loss of objects and loss of (personal, collective and national) memory.

Paper and session proposals are very much welcomed. Please send a short (c.250 word) abstract and bio to j.kapalo@ucc.ie by Friday 18 January 2019.
